Innovation Concept Peel
The Innovation Concept Peel (ICP) is a treatment for the removal of pigmented spots including freckles, age spots, pigmented scars. It can also helps to improve the appearance of areas of roughened sun damaged skin. It is a superficial depth peel and only one application is usually required, though occasionally a second peel may be needed 4-5 weeks later for some skin conditions.
ICP contains salicylic acid, hydroquinone, kojic acid, phytonadione.
- Results are obtained very quickly after the treatment; even at day 5 significant improvement can be appreciated
- The procedure is not painful. It is not difficult to perform. There is no end stage to watch for, no neutralisation and no risk of scarring
- Results are obtained without significant desquamation or peeling. There is no brown, scaly stage, the skin remains intact and does not weep during the short desquamation phase
- Down-time is minimised to one day of red skin (like sunburn), two days of pink and then one day of peeling. Make-up can be worn at all times
- Future UV exposure will not reawaken the pigmented areas, providing that the protocol is followed completely and the post peeling creams and UV protection are used. However, UV exposure is not recommended
- It is a totally innocuous and safe treatment with an excellent safety record
- It is suitable for all photo types.
What skin problems does can be treated with the Innovation Concept Peel?
The ICP visibly smoothes and softens skin and its main idiication for use is to improve pigmented skin problems including age spots.
ICP can be used on the face, the neck, the chest and the hands and can be used on all types of skin. Facial areas show results at a quicker rate than the rest of the body.
It can also be used safely and effectively on black and Asian skin.
The ICP Program
The ICP peel helps aid the removal of surface skin cells, stimulating skin renewal to improve the appearance of the skin.
The skin is carefully cleaned with the Degreasing Solution then the mask is applied and may be left for 2 to 8 hours depending on your skin type and the problem requiring treatment. The mask has a yellow colour to it and you will be sent home with the mask on with instructions on how to wash it off later at a specified time.After cleaning and removing the mask with the Foaming Gel, your skin may appear slightly red.
Some mild peeling may occur after a couple of days and the skin should show some improvement after 3 or 4 weeks.
Does the Innovation Concept Peel have any side effects?
Most patients can undergo ICP peels with few side effects. Some redness is temporary and normal, and the skin may also be slightly swollen and may itch for a few days following treatment.
